"We talked about [improving the] pathways to professional cricket. In October next year, we'll launch an U19 PSL. This is very exciting because it's never happened anywhere else."
This looked like a fictional idea and it was rejected by prominent journalists and cricketers. But PCB stood firmly and Never looked back. It will commence on 6 October 2022. The draft was inducted on the 8 of September, and every team picked 15 players. The minimum age of a Player was 16 years old, PCB took a complete medical age check to ensure glass-like transparency. Now the question arises, what does the Pakistan Cricket Board want from this league?
So the answer will be that the Pakistan Cricket Board wants to cultivate such boys who will not only do well in the U-19 World Cup but can also help the country at the professional level.
