England Tour of Pakistan

England arrived in Pakistan after 24 years.

A series that was initially Scheduled in 2021 and was a Shorter Series, But the ECB took A decision full of Doubts That they will not tour Pakistan due to logistical reasons. England last toured Pakistan in 2005, Where they played 5 Odis and 3 tests. Now, They are scheduled to play 7 T20is starting From September 20 and 3 Tests Starting in December.

Head to Head

England and Pakistan played 21 T20is so far, and England has an upper hand with a whooping 14 wins Record, Pakistan only managed to Win 6 matches. 1 Match got no result. But England never played a t20i game in Pakistan, Can England continue their glory even in Pakistan? This is a big question. On the Hand, Pakistan will look to change its fate in their way. I mean both teams Played 21 matches in nearly 5865 Days, But they will play nearly 33% of the matches in this series of almost half a month, So at the end of the series, we can expect a completely changed Head to Head outlook.

What are both teams Targeting? Is it a win?

Both Teams are targeting of course a win but their plans are bigger than a series win, They are aiming for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia, For that, we can expect that we might see a bouncy wicket and Longer boundaries. Pakistan might try a new opening duo, as reports suggest that Rizwan might take a rest.

Things that are bothering Pakistan

Pakistan is looking to take advantage of the first powerplay but they are unable to go hard because they have two identical Duo at the top, Rizwan and Babar are not power hitters or batters like Warner, Rohit, and co. They just like to lay down a foundation for the middle order, Middle order is an even bigger problem than any problem. In the Asia Cup Middle order just totally failed except that Hong Kong's game. In Super 4, Against India, They won because of Muhammad Nawaz, who isn't a pure batter. He saved Pakistan from crumbling. In the other Match against Afghanistan, Naseem Shah was the hero, I mean are you kidding me? in the chase of 129, Number 10 is your hero with the bat? That surely means that there is Something wrong with Middle Order. They Bring-in Shan Masood to resolve their middle-order problems, He was Fantastic with the bat even in the middle-order in National T20, Question is will he be the man for Pakistan? Haider Ali is the other Guy, who is capable of being a Superman for the Middle Order of Pakistan.

England's Hopes

England has lost 3 Games out of their last 5 Games, Their team is known for its all-out attack cricket, But they have to find Reliability in their middle order, you can't go For an All- out attack from 1 till 11, You have to Find Reliable batter, Whose job will be only to stick till the end, from2019 to 2021, Dawid Malan did it for them and got the Reward in ICC T20i batting rankings, He was the No 1 batter in those days but Somehow, he lost his consistency, Whole England will want him to gain his Form in this series. With Bairstow, Stokes, and Liam Livingston missing out on the series they will expect more from the youngsters to outperform the opposition. One other thing that they will look to improve is their death bowling, With death overs specialist Chris Jordan missing out, They will be lacking in that department for sure. The Question is Will The youngsters provide, What England is looking for?
